Along the Lakeshore: catching a cold, beagling, new recliner

Thursday morning was snowy and cold and a truck brought my combined Christmas and birthday gift from Sue, my sons and their wives. It’s a very nifty reclining chair with lots of bells and whistles. I have seen a chair advertised in the Wall Street Journal for $6,000 marked down from $9,500. I think there are as many features in my new blue chair, but it was not priced anything like the Wall Street Journal chair.

Sue and I tried out the chair when we were in Virginia last April and we were able to choose the color in real life. It didn’t make much sense to put off the purchase, as the chair probably has a 10-20 year life. Our last recliners were purchased 17 years ago.
