Cazenovia High School Drama Club to present Disney's ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in March

— Tickets are now on sale for the Cazenovia High School Drama Club's production of Disney's “Beauty and the Beast.” Rehearsals have been taking place and the cast, crew and pit orchestra are preparing for a smash hit.

This is a unique year for the drama club, taking on this popular Disney show. In keeping with the Disney theme, the costumes for “Beauty and the Beast” are elaborate and must be specially built. To cover the cost of costumes and special props the club has done a significant amount of fundraising. The students presented a “Musical Feast” in October and are having a “Sponsor a Costume” drive to raise funds for costume and prop rental.

This year's evening performance times are earlier than in the past (switched from 8 p.m. to 7 p.m.) in order to keep the evening from being too late for families with children.

Performance times are as follows:

—4 p.m. Thursday, March 6, (senior citizens 62 and over get in free)

—7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8

Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased by visiting caz.cnyric.org (click on HS Musical 2014) or by calling 655-5309. When calling plan to indicate your preferred night, how many tickets you would like and whether you prefer to sit in the orchestra or balcony section.
