Skaneateles election update: Republicans get endorsement; voter registration totals

Libertarian Party: 4

The town of Spafford has 1,255 registered voters. They break down as follows:

Republican Party: 609

Democratic Party: 335

Non-affiliated: 245

Independence Party: 48

Conservative Party: 12

Green Party: 4

Libertarian Party: 1

Working Families Party: 1

Voter registration deadline is Oct. 11

The deadline to register to vote in the general election on Nov. 5 is fast approaching. Oct. 11 is the last day voters may file registration forms with the Onondaga County Board of Elections either by mail or in person. Anyone who will be at least 18 years old by Nov. 5 is permitted to vote.

To download a voter registration form to mail, apply for an absentee ballot or to look up polling places. visit the New York Board of Elections website, elections.ny.gov.
