Thanks to ‘Bucky Bennett’ tourney participants

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all who participated in and or sponsored the 2013 Annual “Bucky Bennett” Golf Tournament. On Friday, Aug. 16, 15 foursomes gathered at the Cazenovia Golf Club to listen to club pro Dennis Colligan review the rules of the tournament before the shotgun start. The day was perfect and the course was in great shape due to Jeff Moesch (superintendent) and his staff for the much anticipated day of golf with many former players and friends of our Cazenovia football family.

The Blue and Gold Sponsors were the heart and soul of the $4,000 raised for the kids in the program and helped meet the needs of the program in so far as practice and game equipment and technology as we progress forward. Tournament sponsors were: Nick W. Zupan and Sons, Holmes Acres, Jim and Conkie Sessler, M&T Insurance Agency, Fallon, Fallon & Bigsby, Cazenovia Athletic Association, Ray Murray Inc., State Farm Insurance, Mike Nichiporuk, J. Basic & Associates, PLLC, Sharkey’s Sports Bar & Restaurant, Ross Prossner, Hagan Construction, Caz Sports Bowl, Johnson Brothers Lumber, Hands 4 Health Massage & Yoga, Wilcox Paper, Tim Hughes, Cunningham Custom Welding, Tim Ahern, Mike Kmetz, and HG Ellis Insurance Agency, Inc.

We would also like to thank FX Caprara Harley-Davison (Adams Center, N.Y.) for our Hole-In-One sponsor and Ray Murray Inc. (Mike Hopsicker) for our auction donation. We also had many door prizes that were drawn at the post-golf dinner.

Thanks to the following Cazenovia businesses that contributed great door prizes: Bill and Debbie Colligan, Caz Sports Bowl, Brae Loch Inn, F. W. Webb, J Basic & Associates, PLLC, Brewster Inn, Lincklaen House, Circa, Pewter Spoon, Cazenovia Subway, Caz Pizza, Owaghena Pizza, McKinnon Liquors, Buyeas’ True Value, Sears, McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts.
