To the editor:
As I look out on the political landscape this campaign season, there is one candidate I’ve had the pleasure of working collaboratively and successfully with in the past. That candidate is Mark Tetley for Manlius Town Supervisor. As the former supervisor, Mark has proven himself to be bipartisan, trustworthy, honest and completely dedicated to the enhanced future of Manlius.
Mark and I worked together to provide funding for such projects as new accounting software to better administer the town’s finances, sidewalk development to help make Manlius a more walkable community and state of the art equipment for the Manlius Police Department. He was an early advocate for the critical Inland Port project near the CSX rail yard, which will be a major contributor to our region’s goal of doubling exports in the next 5-10 years.
In this new reality of local government finance, leaders need to work with all levels of government: county, state and federal, in order to accomplish projects, no matter what party they belong to. If you’re looking for someone who will take a balanced residential and commercial approach to continue to make Manlius an attractive and friendly place to live, there’s no better choice than Mark Tetley.
