Spearheaded by Carl, Cindy and Phil, a petition calling for the ban has signed by over 650 residents in Fenner. This represents over 60 percent of the approximately 1,050 registered voters in the town. Yet, the present town board, two of whom are running for reelection, has refused to even consider acting on this overwhelming message from their constituents. The number 650 represents over four times as many people as actually voted in the last election to choose the present town board. This level of interest conveys a message that is crystal clear. The people of Fenner do not want hydrofracking.
We desire and deserve an outright ban on hydrofracking. We desire and deserve elected officials who will actually listen and strive to act on our wishes. Carl Snow, Phil Rose and Cindy Gavula are running for office because they care about the issue of hydrofracking and the other issues that affect the whole community. I am confident they will be accessible and responsive to all of us.
I urge a vote for all three candidates of the Fenner Neighbor Party.
