To the editor:
As this will be my last letter before the election, I am writing to remind the residents of Lysander that I am running a write-in campaign for Lysander Town Clerk. If you choose to vote for me, you will have to look to the bottom of the ballot and fill in the circle in the “Write-in” area on the ballot for town clerk, and then write in my name, Kevin Rode. While it does not have to be spelled correctly, it does have to be legible. You may ask for assistance from the aides at the polling location if you do not understand how to properly fill the ballot out.
In closing, I would like to remind the residents of Lysander that I am running for this office to serve the citizens of Lysander, not a political group or an agenda. I have not and will not ask people for their hard-earned monies to try and obtain a local political office. I feel that if people want to serve their neighbors and residents, they can use their own funds to secure an office. The residents of Lysander pay enough of their money in taxes for these offices’ salaries that I feel they shouldn’t have to donate to a candidate. Regardless of whether you vote for me or not, please exercise your right to vote on Nov. 5. Thank you for your time.
