LETTER: Why Mike Becallo has my vote on Nov. 5

— LETTER: Why Mike Becallo has my vote on Nov. 5

To the editor:

I write today to share my thoughts why Mike Becallo is the best candidate for Cicero town councilor. I feel he shares the views for the future of Cicero and Central New York as a whole that my wife and I have. I find it refreshing to see a candidate that is passionate about the town that he grew up in. While many people his age have chosen to leave Central New York, Mike has not only decided to stay but also has stepped up to be the voice for the people that he is proud to call his neighbors.

I have known Mike for a while now and I can say he is one of the hardest working and most genuine people that I know. The most important thing I have seen in working with him in the professional world is that he is determined to listen to people and help find a way to solve their concerns. I feel that this will translate well into him working for the citizens of Cicero. His enthusiasm is contagious and he is often the first one to volunteer to help out when someone needs a hand. Cicero needs his spark of energy to help lead the Town to be prepared to meet the needs of future generations of our residents.

Owning his own business in the rapidly changing health IT field has taught Mike to be quick on his toes and help his many clients meet their IT needs with often limited budgets and tight deadlines. Mike’s experience will translate into allowing him to best look for ways to help the town keep a sound and responsible budget.

Living in Cicero his entire life has also allowed Mike to witness the growth and growing pains that our community has felt over the years. He has felt the frustration his constituents have with traffic and roads. He has watched as taxes have increased and services have been stretched. He hears what people are asking him for and is right there with them on the important issues we face as a community. To date he has visited more than 2,000 homes in all corners and districts of the town.
