To the editor:
The Democratic candidate for a Van Buren highway superintendent, William Vroman, of 1058 Lynch Road, owes delinquent taxes in excess of $11,000 on property he owns in the town of Lysander. The property is slated for tax auction on Oct. 29, which indicates that at least three years’ taxes are owing. This information can be verified at ongov.net
Is this the type of candidate you want administering the largest budget in the town? If Mr. Vroman cannot control his personal finances/taxes, how can he be trusted to handle your tax dollars in a professional, effective and efficient manner as highway superintendent?
Taxpayers should expect reputable candidates for public office. It does not appear that is the case with Mr. Vroman.
