Cicero LETTER: Boyke, Jennings and Snyder best options for Cicero
To the editor:
How very unique for town candidates to receive the diverse support and endorsements of three political entities. The Cicero Democratic and Conservative parties and the Veterans Party all agree that supervisor candidate Judy Boyke and council candidates Lynn Jennings and Don Snyder are your best choice to serve as town officials. It has become very easy in our busy lives to ignore local government and not be concerned about what individuals are making decisions affecting our property, safety, traffic concerns and town services. These three endorsements are a strong indication that, as residents, we are promised to receive the best possible service for all property owners, town departments, and its’ employees by encouraging a positive business atmosphere in these most challenging times.
Voting turnout continues to be at an all-time low throughout our nation. How very sad that citizens do not realize and accept their responsibility for the future of our community. I would ask how many voters have actually attended a town hall meeting or visited the town hall? Many residents do not become involved or interested in local government until they have a complaint or issue that needs attention. Nov. 5 is your opportunity to have a direct voice in the daily business of the town of Cicero. I would like to encourage all voters in the town of Cicero to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and cast their votes for supervisor candidate Judy Boyke and town council candidates Lynn Jennings and Don Snyder.
One again, we the residents of Cicero will have the opportunity to elect town officials who are dedicated to being fiscally responsible and fair to all residents, business owners and developers. Will you take the time to do your part?
JOAN M. KESEL
