A tougher match followed on Friday, at Jamesville-DeWitt, where the Bees (9-3) dropped a long second set 28-26 after taking the opener 25-16. But gradually B’ville would take charge, winning the third set 25-19 and dominating the fourth set 25-12 to close it out.
Mahan had 10 kills and two blocks, while Griffith and Toscano each gained nine kills. Bernet added four kills and Charles McAllister managed four digs as Dubiel put together 30 assists, five kills and two aces. The boys Bees finish the regular season this week against Living Word Academy and the combined Syracuse city squad.
In a 25-16, 25-11, 25-12 defeat to Rochester McQuaid on Saturday, Dubiel had eight assists and Mike Shorney added four assists, with Bernet getting four kills. Toscano and Mahan each finished with three kills.
