Spafford candidates forum set for Oct. 16

Residents of the Spafford will get a chance to learn more about their candidates for town offices this Wednesday night.

There will be a candidates forum held at 7 p.m. in Spafford Town Hall, 1984 Route 174, Skaneateles.

The event will be moderated by Skaneateles Press editor Joe Genco and is open to the public.

Participants will include the two candidates for town supervisor, Webb Stevens (R) and Mary Bean (D), and the five candidates for the two available town councilor positions, Donald Plath (R), Davie Venezia (R), Kathy Bragg-Adam (D), Chris Fesko (D) and Joe Vecchio (Spafford People’s Party).

The candidates will all be given a chance to introduce themselves and then will answer questions on election issues provided by the audience. It will not be a debate, but rather a chance for the candidates to speak publicly on local issues and their qualifications for office.
