F-M’s boys team did not have Bryce Millar, Andrew Berge’ and other stars at Tully, and the remaining Hornets had to settle for third place with 79 points behind full-strength squads from Central Square (whom F-M beat 15-50 earlier in the week) and C-NS, who won with 43 points.
Jon Abbott was ninth, in 17:03.5, with David Berman 10th in 17:16.9, followed by Bryan Geehrer (17:41.7) and Paul Billinson (17:50.3) in the top 20, with Kenny Kaiser (18:07.) in 24th ahead of Brendan Pearl (18:20.4) and Troy Middleton (18:39.0).
ESM, who finished fourth, had Jesse Perrone take second place among individuals in 16:40 flat, trailing only Mexico’s Jacob Zedeck (16:30.5) at the wire. Behind Perrone, the Spartans featured Joe Coogan, who took 15th place in 17:37.8. Jared Henry got 29th place in 18:16.4, just ahead of Kyle Willey (18:24.2) in 32nd place.
