This is the 20th year Dickens Christmas will be presented in Skaneateles. Come be a part of the excitement. Here is an invitation from Charles Dickens himself:
“Well my good friends if you would like to be part of the fun at the Dickens' Christmas this season I have good news! The auditions will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the First Presbyterian Church, 97 East Genesee St. in Skaneateles between the hours of 6 and 8! One should be prepared to deliver a brief monologue and sing one's most favoured Christmas Carol! I shall, with most excited expectations, one might even call them great, look forward to it!
With warmest wishes, I remain your humblest author,
Can you act or sing? It’s a great experience for aspiring actors, young and old. There will be paid positions as well as apprentice roles open. Those actors who worked last season’s festival will not be required to re-audition. There will be a limited number of youth actors accepted into the “Dickens Players.”
The auditions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the First Presbyterian Church, (in the sanctuary) 97 E. Genesee St. in Skaneateles. Paid actor candidates should be prepared with a head shot and resume and a one minute comic monologue. Everyone will be asked to sing 16 bars of their favorite Christmas carol. Please call Jim Greene, Dickens’ director, at 607-844-8501 or 607-423-1477 if you have any questions. Or you may e-mail Jim at firstname.lastname@example.org
