Community raises $2,000 for veterans’ food pantry

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

The Cazenovia Rotary Club would like to thank the community for supporting our scrap metal and food drives held in April and September of this year. The events brought in more than $2,000 worth of scrap metal and food donations. The donations will used to support the “Feed Our Vets” organization which runs a food pantry that provides for veterans in need.

We would also like to offer a special thank you to the owner of the properties where each event was held (Empire Management and the Trush Family), to Tops grocery store, to Kurt Wheeler and to the rest of village of Cazenovia civic leaders for their part in helping get this event off the ground. We hope to build off the success of these two events with third event this coming spring.
