— Two members of the Cazenovia Board of Education also were elected to three-year terms on May 21 in uncontested races. Incumbent BOE member Kathy Hahn was reelected with 530 votes, while newcomer Lisa Lounsbury was elected with 540 votes. Lounsbury will take the open seat of board President Fritz Koennecke, who did not seek reelection.

The two newly-elected school board members will take their seats beginning July 1.

The current school board was present at the Cazenovia Middle School auxiliary gym for the vote counting after the polls closed at 9 p.m. After hearing the final tallies, they unanimously voted to accept the election results.
