— After two years of planning and development, Owera Vineyards, located at 5276 East Lake Road, will open to the public and present Taste of Cazenovia on Wednesday, June 12.

Owera will offer a VIP tasting hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., which will include an exclusive tour of the winery, tastes of select Owera wines such as new release Frontenac Gris, hors d’oeurves, delicious foods direct from local farmers and a commemorative Taste of Cazenovia wine glass.

The VIP Taste hour will be held in the production and tasting facility and will include music performed by the Cazenovia High School String Ensemble, directed by Mary Coburn.

The evening will begin with a selection of jazz numbers performed by the Cazenovia High School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Kathy DiNardo. Following the ensemble performance, the band Stroke will entertain throughout the evening with their musical fare. Visitors can then stroll throughout the delectable samples from area culinary and beverage sponsors and bid for prime items at the silent auction.
