Investment advisory firm Genesee Capital Advisors opens in Skaneateles

Genesee Capital Advisors, a new independent investment advisory firm located at 9 East Genesee St. in Skaneateles, opened on May 10. The firm provides a wide array of wealth management services, including discretionary investment management and fiduciary services for foundations, endowments, individuals and families. In addition, the firm emphasizes a strong focus on retirement plan design and comprehensive financial planning for physicians, attorneys, business owners and retirees.

Genesee Capital Advisors provides discretionary investment management and financial planning advice on a fee basis. Founding partners Michael Hearn, Ryan Pine and JeanMarie Hart are all natives of Central New York and have more than 65 years of combined experience in the investment industry nationwide. Hearn and Pine are from Auburn and Hart is from Syracuse.

“We have a record of longevity with our clients that is a testament to their level of satisfaction with our work,” Hearn said. “We are looking forward to continuing to provide tailored investment strategies to secure our clients’ financial futures.”

The three partners previously worked together at a large wealth management firm in Skaneateles, and have opened their own firm based on the tenets of trust, transparency and independence.

“We feel that opening our own independent investment firm is the best way to serve our clients. We will provide unbiased financial advice and manage our clients’ investment portfolios with a true open architecture,” said Pine. “We are eager to begin our new venture.”
