DeWitt The Fayetteville Free Library will hold a children’s clothing consignment sale, called “Kidsignment” May 17th, 18th and 19th at Shoppingtown Mall, across from Rite Aid. Consignors make 60 percent on any items they wish to sell, and the library makes 40 percent from sales. Volunteers who sign up to work at the sale get the benefit of shopping before the general public, on Friday morning from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. The sale opens to the general public Friday at 1 p.m. In addition to clothing, the sale offers gently used toys, strollers, cribs, shoes, costumes, baby carriers, books and more.
The sale is a fundraiser for the Fayetteville Free Library, and proceeds will go toward the FFL Green Space Campaign, to develop an outdoor space on the west side of the library grounds that will include a reading garden and wired gazebo for outdoor programming.
“This sale is a great community building opportunity for the FFL to not only raise the funds necessary to execute the vision of a beautiful and functional outdoor programming space and reading garden, but to provide our community with the opportunity to work together in support of a community based service that has become such an essential resource and support to so many, particularly in these challenging economic times," said Sue Considine, Executive Director of the Fayetteville Free Library. "We look forward to seeing familiar faces and making new connections at the sale.”
