Cazenovia On Saturday, May 18, Linda and Brian Osborne will host a fundraiser to benefit the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation at the beautiful Jephson “Hillcrest” Estate. The Osbornes bought the property in 2011 and have generously opened it to other worthy organizations during the past two years.
The 1905 Queen Anne Victorian was built by Robert Benson Davis, founder of the Davis Baking Powder Company. The home passed to Davis’s daughter, Lucretia, who lived there until her death in 1979. John Whittle bought the main estate in 1984, restored and remodeled it and it was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1994.
A Champagne Preview for patrons starts at 5 p.m., with the main event including hors d'oeuvres, wine and Empire Brewing Co. beer beginning at 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy self-guided tours of the historic main house.
