The Pulling Threads group gets together from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 this month to work on quilts, sewing projects, crochet, whatever you're interested in. Tables are available to lay out your work and no registration is needed.

Senior Fair

Find out about the many programs and opportunities for Seniors in the Baldwinsville area at this Open House style program from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14. It’s a handy way to collect information from local service providers including county and state agencies, the library system and more.

Census special

Genealogy is built on records and the census is a treasure trove for family historians. Learn how to access and make the most of census records. This month’s meeting is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in the computer classroom. The course is free, but registration is required.

Dan Brown redux

Join us at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, when Dan Brown, author of The DaVinci Code, appears onscreen from The Lincoln Center in the Story Room of Baldwinsville Public Library. After his appearance (time permitting), we will discuss his books including the DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons, Inferno and others.

Open Mike unplugged

May brings warm breezes and gentle sounds. We’re asking everybody to leave the amplifiers at home because this month’s session will be strictly acoustic at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at our long running Open Mike.

Friends of the Library meeting

Author Katie Aldridge will resurrect the voice of Civil War Combat soldier Charles Freeman Biddlecom from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 16. The program, sponsored by The Friends of the Baldwinsville Public Library, is based on letters he wrote to his wife during the conflict.

Onondaga Otaku

The group meets from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16, to celebrate the joys of Japanese animation and free snacks. New members are always welcome.
