Ohio-born, Ithaca-based songwriter Joe Crookston will strum, sing and tell stories at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Kellish Hill Farm Music Farm, on Pompey Center Road.
continued Besides singing, strumming and storytelling, Crookston’s also a talented painter who creates the cover art for his own CDs. His newest release, “Demos, Outtakes, Interviews & Live” showcases a handful of unreleased songs and performances recorded live at Ithaca’s State Theatre.
Crookston’s certainly a man on the move. Next week he’s booked at the Wildflower Music Festival in Richardson, Texas. Next month, he’s at the Woodland Folk Festival in Long Island, and in July, he’s planning to tour Ireland.
