In the girls meet, the Bears’ Sarah Moon won the 800 in 2:28.4, with Kaitlyn Boyer taking the 100 sprint in 13.9 seconds. Moon, Boyer, Krissy Roberts and Caity Foster were victorious in the 4x400 (4:38.2) as Roberts also went 29’4” to take the triple jump ran in the 4x100, which Chittenango won in 59.1 seconds.
Chittenango did not win any individual events in the boys meet against Westhill/Ludden, but did take the 4x100 (49.7 seconds) and 4x400 (3:49.5) relays as Brad Markowski ran in both events. Corey Wilkinson (200, shot put, discus) and Antoine Montgomery (100, triple jump, pole vault) each won three times for the Warriors.
Both of the Bears’ teams competed Friday in the Brother Basilian Invitational at CBA’s Alibrandi Stadium, where the girls 4x800 relay team got fourth place in 11:09.5.
Moon was fifth (5:07.3) and Galbraith sixth in the 1,500 as Shannon Bunce got sixth place in the 800 and Chrissy Roberts was sixth (27’10”) in the triple jump. Isaac Czarnecki was fifth in the boys mile in 4:53.5.
