Baldwinsville On April 15, Troy R. Vanantwerp, 19, “transient” was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment. The arrest resulted after a violation of a “stay-away” order of protection. He was arraigned in front of Judge Huling and bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 Bond. He was remanded to the Justice Center Jail and was scheduled to re-appear in court on April 17.
On April 10, Steven D. Clark, 22, of 21 Margaret St., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with petit larceny regarding a bench warrant that was issued on April 4 by the Village of Baldwinsville Court. He was arraigned in front of Judge Huling and released ROR to appear in court on May 1.
On April 7, Leslie T. Sparks Jr., 44, of 57 Salina St., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate headlights. A traffic stop and DMV inquiry revealed his license was revoked on Aug. 4, 2011, for driving while intoxicated, on Oct. 12, 2011, for driving while intoxicated and suspended on Oct. 25, 2011, for failure to pay a fine. He was released on $150 police bail to appear in court on May 8.
On April 6, Melanie N. Debarr, 21, of 1835 Hoag Road, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, no seatbelt and unlicensed operator. Her driver’s license was suspended twice on June 24, 2012, for failure to answer a summons, three times on Feb. 15 for the same and her license was also expired. She was released ROR to appear in court on May 8.
On April 6, Cory Zappala, 30, of 7859 Tater Road, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. While making a turn onto Downer Street from Syracuse Street, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. He was processed to appear in court on April 24.
