Along the Lakeshore: May 1

Remembering Bill Gregory

Sue and I rented a basement nest in his house in Sugarbush, Vt. for five years until we bought our own place in 1986. One of the most entertaining evenings from those years was when Bill played a lion tamer with three dogs — my Beagle Sandy, their Beagle-cross Heidi, and the Corgi-hybrid from across the road. The dogs got in the spirit of things and Bill thoroughly enjoyed himself.

There are hundreds of memories many of us shared with Bill and Bayne over the years. Sue and I especially remember the stories of their son Scott’s trips to the Olympics in Sarajevo and Calgary.
