B’ville students place at SkillsUSA Competition

— Four Baker High School students enrolled in OCM BOCES programs received awards in the SkillsUSA Regional Competition, held at SUNY Morrisville Feb. 15.

Jenna Griffo, a student in the OCM BOCES pastry arts program, received third place in the job interview category.

Three students in the OCM BOCES laboratory technician program also placed in the competition. Emily Arthur placed first in the job demo category, Paige Bell received first place in the occupational health and safety category and Sarah Brown placed third in the related technical math category.

SkillsUSA is a national organization that connects high school and college students with employers of technical, skilled and service occupations.
