LETTER: Swan patrol thanks mayor Serafin

To the editor:

I’m writing on behalf of Mayor Serafin- look at what he has done: put in new sidewalks as well as redone the Swan Pond, which was badly in need of repair. It was drained and the sediment at the bottom removed, the concrete walls and fountain were repaired and the electrical wiring was upgraded. After 56 years I think it was way overdue for repairs and an upgrade. The paths were widened and it looks great- a job well done!

The mayor also established the beautification committee, which improved all the beautiful flowers that are in the flower pots and hanging pots in the village which makes it look so beautiful- thank you, mayor Serafin!

Look at Perry Springs Park- we now have walking trails and benches to sit on. The mayor also started a number of initiatives that improved and was instrumental in creating the bike lane on F-M Road. Because of the mayor, the village is more pedestrian-friendly and a lot safer for walking, pushing a baby in a stroller or someone in a wheelchair.

The mayor also insured that the fire department got all the resources for training and all the equipment they requested to maintain their award-winning high level of service. As you can see, the mayor has gone above and beyond with his leadership skills and integrity.

He cares deeply from his heart. Mayor Serafin has created a village to be proud of! Remember the awful tragedy with the swan eggs? The mayor got right on it to find someone to get a swan patrol in motion and the Manlius swan patrol began last May.

I thought reading about running for President was bad (in terms of a dog-eat-dog race, but this is worse. Everyone is out for the mayor because someone can’t stand him and started planting bugs in people’s ears. You can believe what you want, but I believe Manlius is a better village because of mayor Serafin and the swan patrol thanks him.

Remember to vote from your heart and NOT your head- so on March 19, vote Mark-Paul Serafin for mayor.
