continued The most rewarding part of the experience for Zaleski was getting to know his competitors, saying that he now has friends across the country that he otherwise would not have met.
The greatest challenge of the eight week competition, according to Zaleski, was “being away from my wife and my kids.”
For Zaleski, the competition was not only entertaining and exciting, but informative for the general public.
“It’s a very realistic outside look at what we do. It’s very adrenaline-fueled. It’s a rush. However, you need to remember it’s not all about SWAT guys. It’s about every man and woman that puts a uniform on and puts a badge and straps a gun on and goes to work every day. It’s about bringing a positive light towards law enforcement. I hope that I can bring light to all my brothers and sisters here in New York that go out and put their lives on the line every day,” he said.
