Board of Education seeks input on capital project

To the Skaneateles School District Community:

Thank you to those of you who voted last week. We appreciate your support for the technology/computer referendum. While the outcome of the building referendum was different than we had hoped, we want you to know that we heard you. Where do we go from here? We still believe the proposed repairs and deferred maintenance projects are necessary — some are urgent. As for the remainder of the referendum, there are a variety of options we need to consider with the help of the community. Regardless of how you voted, we want your input. While it is fresh in your mind, please send your thoughts in an email titled “capital project” to Interim Superintendent Judy Pastel at jpastel@skanschools.org, or put your thoughts on paper and mail them to the district office. We will continue to explore ways to maintain our buildings and our district in a way that is responsible to current and future students, while also reflecting the needs and wishes of our community.
