The Duck Dash took place behind the buildings at 27 Fennell St. owned by Victor Ianno. Many thanks to Randy Stockweather, Myron Steen, Chris Legg and the Sea Scouts and other volunteers who helped clean up the creek area to get it ready for the event. The band, Sound Check provided musical entertainment, the Skaneateles Y had games for the kids, Downtown Deli and the Laker Limo had delicious food and soft drink and Creekside Books and Coffee offered adult beverages.
Many thanks to the Auburn Kiwanis Club for sharing their ducks and duck costume.
All in all, it was tons of fun. Thanks to all who supported the event by buying a Duck Dash ticket, all of our wonderful volunteers who helped number ducks, dressed up as the duck and helped on the day of the event. Mark your calendars: the third annual Skaneateles Duck Dash is being planned for Friday, July 18, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. If your community organization would like to help sell Duck Dash tickets, let us know. Your organization will get half of the money for any tickets sold.
