Cazenovia Due to the very wet conditions of the trails normally used for the Sunday Pleasure Drive class, the organizers of the Lorenzo Driving Competition are offering a different route for this year’s course. The Pleasure Drive class will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, and will progress from the Lorenzo grounds, through the west part of the village of Cazenovia, south along Chenango and Mill Streets to East Road. The competitors will then head back to the Lorenzo site by way of Rippleton Cross Road for the small ponies and miniature horses or by Ballina, Land and Rippleton Cross Road for the large ponies and horses.
The show committee encourages spectators to watch and applaud the pleasure drive competitors from the village streets between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. or from points anywhere along the route.
The Lorenzo Driving Competition is a two-day pleasure driving competition that attracts competitors from across the country.
