Liverpool girls pull away, earn indoor track league honors

— Much the same thing happened in the triple jump, with Fanizzi going 35'7 3/4" to beat Gersbacher (34'7 1/4") by more than a foot as Jade Jenkins (33'2 3/4) was fourth and Rowell was fifth.

Brodie was also second in the high jump, clearing the same height (5 feet) as B'ville's Emily Soeder, but with more misses, allowing Soeder to prevail as C-NS's Rachel Knight was fourth and Turner was fifth.

Liverpool got a 1-2 finish as Angela Kulpa cleared 9'3", with Shae Shenandoah second (8'6"), the Northstars' Theresa Brown and Whitney Hotchkiss third and fifth, respectively. In the shot put, the Northstars' Destiny Monica was second with a throw of 30'9 1/2", half an inch ahead of Liverpool's Nelliah Watkins in third place as C-NS's Shannon Hanmer was fifth.
