Floral notes: Fighting the couch potato within

Community Columnist

Napoleon allegedly said, “If you can do nothing, rest,” when he couldn’t do battle with the enemy. This season, take comfort in our forced cocooning, but don’t get so comfortable that spring becomes a rude awakening!

The members of the Cazenovia Garden Club want to thank the community for the wonderful turnout at our holiday plant sale in December. It was fast and furious in the first few hours, as shoppers snatched up crafted items, poinsettias, boxwood trees and arrangements — some as we were making them.

Our first raffle for a large basket arrangement of fresh greens and dried natural material was a success. I’m sure it will become a tradition.

Please call me if you would like to be added to our pre-order list for either our spring or holiday sales to ensure we have what you’re looking for.

Stay well and safe, good friends!
