Caz indoor track girls open season with win

Hannah Dain led the way in the throws, tossing the shot 26-5.75 as she teamed up with Sarah Haley (24-8.5) for third. The duo also scored in the weight throw as Dain hit 25-2 and Haley 22-11 for third place. Kortney Burdin threw a personal best of 23-6 to place first in the JV shot put event.

The Lakers also had the fastest JV Sprint Medley Relay as Samantha Gates, Hannah Roussell, Keeley Race and Katie Marshall raced to a time of 5:05.5.

The Lady Lakers were back in action on Dec. 28, and will race again at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 and 4 at Colgate’s Sanford Field House, as they strive for their third-straight Section III title.
