Photography class offered at New Woodstock library

— A four-week introductory digital photography class conducted by expert photographer Jerry Weimar will be held at the New Woodstock Free Library from 10 a.m. to noon. on the following Saturdays: March 9, 16, 23 and 30. The class is free and open to the public.

Pre-registration is not required. Participants should bring their cameras (if they have one) to each class session. The library is located at 2106 Main Street (Route 13) in the hamlet of New Woodstock.

Weimar, who recently presented an exhibit of his work at the library, will cover the basic skills of capturing a good digital photograph, how the camera works and how to manage, develop and print images with Adobe Lightroom (as well as selected Adobe Photoshop features). The class will show/discuss example images. There will also be an optional opportunity for a field shoot and print lab.

Weimar’s photos can be viewed online at photo.net/photos/JerryWeimar.
