— “Half of them were scored off of her defense on the wings, going out and getting buckets,” Siechen said.

The Rams pushed the cushion to 49-23 after three quarters and with 6:10 left in regulation, Mussi pressured Jillian Brodock in the backcourt. Mussi dove at the dribbling ball and deflected it off her own foot and out of bounds.

Though the game was in hand, J-D remained relentless through the final buzzer, cruising to the A final.

“That’s what we always want to do,” Siechen said. “We always want to defend. We got a lot of steals on the wings out here which leads to lead out baskets. We’re always going to defend and we were able to get turnovers. That’s why we were able to get the transition buckets.”
