— Microsoft not so basics

Improve your word processing skills by learning some of the more advanced tricks available in Microsoft Word 2010 at this free full-day course from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 26. In this course, students will create complex documents in Microsoft Word 2010 by adding components such as customized lists, tables, charts and graphics. They will also create personalized Microsoft Word 2010 efficiency tools (such as Mail Merge or Macros). The course was designed for persons who need to learn how to use Microsoft Word 2010 to create or modify complex documents as well as customized Word efficiency tools. Registration is required and limited to 10 participants. This class is being taught by instructors from New Horizons.

Email basics

Tackle the basics at this hands-on course at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 27. Even if you hate email, you probably need it for job applications, family connections and dealing with corporations and the government. Learn what email can do for you in a comfortable hands-on setting.

In Stitches

The group meets at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 to complete personal sewing and needlework projects.

Last Thursday Book Club

At 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28, the Last Thursday Book Club will talk about the “Eye of the Needle,” by Ken Follett.
