Our kids attend school and are filled with lots of knowledge, but rarely do they practice actual skills that will help them in the “real world.” Mrs. New however, gave them the opportunity to participate in a real-life exercise and the students, all of them, came through with flying colors.
I want to extend a special thanks to the following students who participated and gave so much thought and wonderful suggestions to me and my cafe: Kevin Hopsicker, winner of the Owahgena Chapter of Toastmasters International Award; Kelsi Fredricks, member of the winning team; Jay Doxtator, member of the winning team; Brad Nardella, member of the winning team; Cameron Hoke, Ryan Henderson, Grace Gara, Austin Nowak, Audrey Burbridge and Isabella Quatronne. You are all (including Christina New) winners in my book.
