Baldwinsville Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department has announced the promotion of Deputy Gregory Beckwith, of Baldwinsville, to the rank of sergeant. Beckwith has been a member of the Sheriff’s Office Police Department since 2002.
Beckwith will begin his field training and become responsible for supervising deputies providing police services throughout Onondaga County.
The department has also announced the promotion of Sergeant Angelo Caruso, of Warners, to the rank of lieutenant. Caruso has been a member of the Sheriff’s Office Police Department since 1998 and was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2005. During his tenure, Caruso has been assigned to various units within the Sheriff’s Office including patrol, training and navigation. As a lieutenant, Caruso will serve as a watch commander within the Sheriff’s Police Department.
