Horton pockets two goals, two assists in 5-1 win

— Liverpool will face C-NS again Jan. 24 at the Greater Baldwinsville Ice Arena in Lysander, which the Warriors use as its home rink. In the meantime, both faced busy weekend activity if the weather could cooperate.

It did long enough for the Northstars to face Canton on Friday night – and take a 3-2 defeat, the game tied at 1-1 until the third period, when Canton scored twice and C-NS could only get on the board once in response.

Field managed both of the Northstars’ goals, with Keyes, Matt Siegel and Ben Cummings earning assists. Gloska kept the game close as he recorded 33 saves.

The Warriors went downstate to Westchester County for a pair of games against Section I opponents, emerging from them with a split as it lost to Scarsdale 6-3 on Saturday, but recovered Sunday to defeat Rye 5-3.

Against Rye, Liverpool scored all of its goals in the first two periods, as Horton and Gaulke led the charge, both of them earning two goals and two assists. Muolo added one goal and one assist, with Bianchi and Terzini also earning assists.

Back home, C-NS faced Canton on Friday night and took a 3-2 defeat, the game tied at 1-1 until the third period, when Canton scored twice and C-NS could only get on the board once in response.

The skid continued Saturday as C-NS lost, 7-4, to Potsdam, leaving them at 0-4 going into games this week against Baldwinsville and Rome Free Academy. Liverpool would take on RFA Wednesday night at Lysander for its only action of the week.
