Creekside Books and Coffee, an independent book cafe in Skaneateles, in conjunction with the Onondaga County Friends of the Central Library (FOCL), will be hosting bestselling novelist, Lee Child for an hour-long book-signing from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the cafe.
Child is this month’s guest author for the Rosamond Gifford Lecture Series, being held on the same evening at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center in Syracuse. Tickets for the lecture are available at foclsyracuse.com and through Ticketmaster.
Lee Child is the British author behind Jack Reacher, investigator and lead protagonist in the popular series of crime books (the eighteenth book, “Never Go Back,” was released in September). His books were the basis of the 2012 film, “Jack Reacher,” starring Tom Cruise, which made over $200 million worldwide.
Creekside has enjoyed a long collaboration with the Friends of the Central Library. Creekside offers books for purchase at the monthly lectures and hosts a monthly book club the Thursday prior to the lecture. This month, the book club is reading “The Killing Floor” (the first book in the Reacher series) for its Dec. 12 meeting. Creekside also offers an $80 book bundle that features a book from each of this year’s authors.
