New programs address anti-bullying, tutoring needs and more

— PEACE Inc. will offer several new programs to the community.

The resource center is in the beginning stages of forming an anti-bullying support group for parents, which includes educational components. Those interested in learning more should contact the County West Family Resource Center (PEACE Inc.) at 638-1051.

The center is also offering a tutoring program, which pairs youth with tutors matching the needs of each student. Parents can call the center to schedule tutoring days and times.

Lastly, the center will offer a Food for the Parent’s Soul, a program that aims to strengthen parenting skills. Topics of discussion will include communication, better management of time, money, housing and job, child discipline, domestic violence and more.
