Little Utica UMC to host tribute

— The EJ Thomas United Methodist Men will host a tribute to Rev. Wade Jarrett at noon Saturday, April 27, at Little Utica United Methodist Church. A free luncheon will be followed by the movie, “A Man Called Peter.” All proceeds from the love offering will go to Watson Homestead and Camp Casowasco, two of Rev. Jarrett’s favorite charities.

Rev. Jarrett served as pastor to both Warners and Little Utica United Methodist churches when he sadly passed away in October 2012. He previously served the Geneva First United Methodist Church for several years.

“A Man Called Peter” is a movie made in 1955 about a Pastor’s life that closely resembles Wade’s life in ministry.

Little Utica United Methodist Church is located on Lamson Road in Phoenix heading west off Route 48, just past the intersection of Lamson and East Mud Lake roads. The EJ Thomas UMM is made up of men from several area churches including Bowens Corners, Granby Center, Warners, St. Paul's and Little Utica United Methodist churches. This event is open to the public.
