Baldwinsville Belle Ame Yoga and Wellness will now offer a multilevel yoga class from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays beginning April 24 in the Jonhoben Room at the Central New York Family Sports Center on Jones Road in Baldwinsville. Susan DeCarlo, the owner of Belle Ame Yoga and Wellness and certified yoga instructor, will teach the class, which is comprised of four specific components to help participants achieve optimum health including: a breathing meditation, warm-up exercises, yoga poses and relaxation.
The continued practice of yoga has many documented scientific health benefits including the reduction of stress, high blood pressure, cholesterol, stroke and the risk of heart disease. It can also increase strength, flexibility and metabolic rates as well as improving quality of sleep, digestion, tone of abdominal muscles, posture and, where applicable, athletic performance.
The Jonhoben Room is a great space to achieve the benefits of this class as it offers 1,800 square feet of beautiful hardwood floors, low lighting, sound surround and the ambiance of a fireplace. Parking is also free and plentiful.
You don’t need strength or flexibility to enter the class. All you need is a mat and the willingness to try the class. More information can be found at Belle Ame’s website at belleameyoga.com or link to the website from the Central New York Family Sport Center website at cnyfsc.com.
