B’ville teacher selected for summer teachers academy

— Jessica Ancona, a fourth-grade teacher at McNamara Elementary School, has been selected to attend the 2013 Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, N.J. this summer. The academy is an all-expense paid training program for third- through fifth-grade teachers to provide them with opportunities to network with other educators, innovative ideas for teaching math and science and tools to enhance curricula. Only about 100 teachers are accepted into the academy each summer.
