CACDA, chamber of commerce to produce video promoting Cazenovia

— The Cazenovia Area Community Development Association and the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce are working on a joint project to produce a video promoting the quality of life that is enjoyed in the Cazenovia area. The video, which will be titled “Experience Cazenovia,” will illustrate the reasons that this is a wonderful place to live.

“We have assembled a great team to work on the video,” said CACDA Executive Director, Lauren Lines. “In addition to a dedicated oversight committee that includes members of the Chamber, CACDA and community residents, we are pleased to have several talented students and faculty advisors working on the project.”

Alex Burnett, Rochester Institute of Technology film student and Cazenovia native, will compile and edit original footage taken by local high school students under the direction of high school teacher, Jason Webb. The final “YouTube” video will be approximately eight to 10 minutes in length.

“Our goal is to include as many perspectives as possible,” said Chamber Board Member, Pamela McFarland. “If you are stopped on the street by someone with a video camera and asked to describe Cazenovia in just one word, your candid responses and cooperation will be appreciated.”

The final product will be premiered at a “Red Carpet” event on Feb. 21, 2014.
