Students score high in math competition

— Congratulations to the following Baker High School students who had the three highest scores in the school in their grade categories in the recent American Mathematics Competition:

AMC 12 (11th and 12th graders)

  1. Andrew Ragonese

  2. Scott Wolff

  3. David Magowan

AMC 10 (10th graders)

  1. Brianna O’Neil

  2. Michael Boyce

  3. Alexander Burrer

Based on his score on the test, Andrew Ragonese qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam on March 14.

The main purpose of the AMC is to increase interest in mathematics and further develop students’ math talents. The AIME provides further challenge and recognition to high school students who have exceptional mathematical ability.
