To the editor:
Nanny Oakman is rolling over in her grave about the Cazenovia “powers that be” gutting the inside of Bob O Link. She donated this gem to our town.
Both Jon Holstein and Philip Olmstead have suggested alternative uses for the Gothic Cottage in the Cazenovia Republican and have constructive ideas for the relocation of our town offices. But Kristi Anderson's letter implies that destroying the historic interior is a “done deal.”
What if down the road, the village and town merge and more space is needed? If an addition is added to the back of Bob O Link parking space is lost forcing the sale of an architecturally “hodge podge” property. Not only is this project historically irresponsible it is shortsighted.
The way to create any successful project is not to go behind closed doors but to get input from the maximum number of people. Please let's do that.
