Westhill, Ludden boys soccer both win twice

Warriors beat pair of foes by combined 9-1 margin

Solvay had a chance to upend Skaneateles Wednesday night at Earl Hadley Stadium, but could not hold on in a 4-3 overtime defeat to the Lakers.

With a 2-1 halftime edge, the Bearcats tacked on another goal in the second half as Jacob Mrowinski scored twice and Maid Kahrimanovic also converted. Ruslan Solovskiy and Yuri Zdebsky also had goals.

Despite all that, though, Skaneateles overwhelmed Solvay goalie Salvatore Dahlin (who made 10 saves), tying it late in regulation and winning it in OT behind two goals from Alex Brownlee and a goal and two assists from Ryan Higman.

Solvay went on to drop a 6-1 decision to Henninger on Saturday afternoon, watching Mrowinski score, but only after the Black Knights raced out to a 4-0 halftime lead. Khin Maung Kyi led the Black Knights with three goals and two assists.
