Cazenovia Lend A Hand Week, a new event for area community members, will take place from Oct 1. to 7.
The week-long event aims to assist those over the age of 55 with minor household chores, yard clean-up, basic computer assistance, garage organizing, installing storm windows and the many other chores that may occasionally require a neighbor’s helping hand.
Sponsored by Community Resources for Independent Seniors, the program is available to all seniors living in the greater Cazenovia area.
It is not too late to sign up. Even if residents have a light bulb that is difficult to replace, Lend A Hand can help.
In order to sign up, call the CRIS office at 655-5743 and leave a name and phone number. One can also go online to complete an “Assistance Application” at callcris.org
